Well I have just spent two wonderful weeks in the luxury and comfort of friends' homes in London and Singapore - thanks for the great hospitality.
London was grey and cold but fantastic to be back after a few years/months - it was great catching up with so many friends, managed some cultural activity - National Portrait Gallery exhibition, tea with new mums, dinner at Tom's Kitchen in Chelsea with girls, dining at friends in the country! And then walked the streets of London while obtaining Russian & Chinese Visas, sorting out banking and property - feels a bit like hard work to get prepared for a year off, it was much easier when we had no responsibility or assets to take care of!!!

Singapore has been very hot and humid and very relaxing as I ease into holiday mode, running in Botanical Gardens, much needed cycling in the gym, lazing by the pool and catching up with friends, shopping on Orchard Rd, lunching at Turf City, dining in Dempsey Hill - photo of night out at Dempsey Hill with Joann and Catherine - and just practising my blogging skills....
Hullo gorgeous sister - we are very impressed to see you have updated your blog! Sounds like you have had a great time in London and Singapore and the 3 gals are looking gorgeous on their night out! Hope you have a great time on the love aboard! (this is what Clive called it so let's see.......) Have fun and travel safe - we all miss you LOL Sam,Clive, Emma and Tim
ReplyDeleteHey Tiff, yay I got on, it was blocked through work but came throug to my personal mail address - thanks!
ReplyDeleteI will follow you all the way...
All well in the winelands except for the raging fires, it is awful and ash creeps into every nook and cranny, not to mention that Josh is permanently black!
And the amount of damage and fauna & flora and animal life that has been destroyed.
But we are alive!
You have a blast, look after yourself and be safe!
lots of love P
Hello Tiffy - We live vicariously thorugh you - sounds wonderful. Carpe Diem for the rest of us. Safe journeys - looking forward to the next blog.
ReplyDeleteVacated the house at 01h10 last Tuesday; 4 varkies, 2 dogs 2 laptops; 11 of us spent the rest of the night on monster-in-law's floor.... house standing & no permanent damage so no complaints; suspect Josh look something like Rageltjie... rather sooty ! W'ends in S'Town for the rest of the summer season, as to have 2 days a week with no grit between the teeth. Following ur sojourn with great envy.... happily SJS is starting show good promise. Hugs & OM Kisses, Jo
